Gift Ideas // Sydney Shopping + Sales [Haul] Pitt St, QVB, George St.

These were basically all I got in one day which I rushed the day before Christmas. Many of these were for my family and were good sales around Pitt St, George St, and QVB Sydney.

_

Gluestore are currently having a decent end of year sale, I bought two Minkpink tops for $20 each on sale at World Square. There is also a small sale at Superdry stores where you can get two basic tees for $50 ($29.95 RRP each). These are easy to buy for boys so I got one each for both of my brothers.

There's a shop called 'MD Ranking' on George St that sells Japanese sweets, jewellery and stocks many Asian skin care brands that are usually hard to find. I bought this cream for my sister who has really sensitive skin for $18. I've never really seen any sales at the store but it's worth a look.

Also from MD Ranking on George St, I also got a Too Cool For School dual primer for $29. The tube comes with a sweet scented primer, and the lidded primer smooths your pores. It also comes with a tiny mirror. This was a really good gift idea *pats self on the back*.

Colours left to right: #025 Seashell and #040 Provence

Cosmo Cosmetics on George St are having a HUGE end of year sale. I got two of these bottles for $4.95 each as a gift. Even though these are a tad pricey for a Revlon nail polish sale, the other sales in-store are worth checking out.

Also from Cosmo Cosmetics, I snapped up this Shiseido hand cream for my mum for $9.95 on special. It's so soft and the packaging is kinda cute.

Colours top to bottom: Rosemary and Chamomile

One for me, and one as a gift; I got these Shu Uemura Depsea Water facial mists from Cosmo Cosmetics for $22 each. At David Jones they sell these at above $40 so the discount was decent. These give an elastic/plump feel to your skin and the smell is perfectly subtle.

For my sister, I got her a new watch from Forever New, Pitt St - when I went to checkout I was told it was discounted to $16 :)!

From Cosmo Cosmetics, George St, I got 2 x Blistex for $1 each one for my dad and one for my brother - these balms have a different texture to other balms and aren't glossy either so it's good for either gender. As gifts, I got Korres packs on sale at $4.95 each pack - the pomegranate lip butter has a red tint. I also got Mini Clinique Chubby Sticks; If I remember correctly, the purple stick is 'voluptuous violet' and comes down to $9.95 and 'super strawberry' came down to $3.95 on sale.

On the top right is oil blotting paper, this is a good gift for people with oily skin and was inside the Asian grocery store that is along the entrance to Townhall station from George St and is also behind Mizuya (if I remember correctly). These are $2.80 for 100 sheets.

From Soul Pattinson chemist, I bought a Manicare buffer for my mum at $6.95; to buff and shine her nails which does the job perfectly.

From The Body Shop in QVB, I got a double sided foot file for $3.95 and nail buffer for $4.95 as gifts.

Also from the Asian grocery store whose name I can't remember, I got this Japanese lunchbox for my mum for about $3 which seems like a good gift if you know the personality of someone. From David Jones, Pitt St; I got my dad a much needed leak-free lunchbox for $16.95. This is all I managed to buy after searching many levels of the David Jones Men's store. In the bedding/home decor level, it's really fun to browse the Hugo Boss bath gowns and the bedding. Molton Brown candles and the Versace Plateware would also make nice gifts but are too pricey for what you're getting.

At Soul Pattinson Chemist in Pitt St, there is a 30% sale on products with green stickers; so I got this candle as a gift for about $12.

Whether you're buying for a male/female, your parents/sibling, I hope this post helps! Sometimes it's easy to overlook gifts but if you have a close relationship with the person you're gifting, you could give meaning to the gift by showing that you know their personality - rather than just getting a box of chocolates. Not that there is anything wrong with chocolates :)

Have a nice day, X.
